Dave ‘Love’ Lee

Dave ‘Love’ Lee, aka Joey Negro, is one of the UK’s most influential producers in disco and house music. With over a thousand production credits and Top 40 hits as Jakatta, he has shaped the sound of modern dance through projects like The Sunburst Band, Z Factor and AC Soul Symphony. His label Z Records remains a trusted hub for quality dance music, from reissues (Under The Influence, Remixed With Love) to original productions. In 2020, Lee retired the Joey Negro name to continue releasing music under his own.

In recent years, Lee has delivered a run of critically acclaimed albums. Produced With Love II reaffirmed his reputation for soulful, musicianship-led dance music, featuring standout collaborators like Omar, Maurissa Rose, Michele Chiavarini, Kaidi Tatham and Billy Valentine. He followed with the orchestral-disco project Metamorphosis (as AC Soul Symphony), praised for its lush live string arrangements.
