Local Weekend & Day (Friday-Sunday) tickets are available for postcodes OX7 3** and OX29 9**.
- Max 4 adult tickets per household, max 4 under 18s per adult ticket and max 10 tickets per order
- Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult 18+ at all times and, if staying for the weekend, cannot camp separately.
Purchasing local tickets in advance is a 3-step process: request, register and book.
Step 1 – Request
Request your tickets via the local ticket request form when this is open.
- Local weekend tickets must be requested in advance via the local ticket request form.
- Local day tickets can be requested in advance via the request form and on the day at the festival.
Step 2 – Register
Submitting a request form does not guarantee tickets to Wilderness; requests are only confirmed upon in-person registration at Charlbury Community Centre on the dates outlined in the request form.
To Register Your Request, You Will Need
- Proof of address: Utility bill or bank statement (within the last 3 months) including full name and address containing the postcode OX7 3** or OX29 9**
- Proof of identity: With full name matching that on the proof of address
- Request form: complete with all details and ticket request. Fill this in, in advance, or on the day at the Community Centre. Once submitted, you will receive an email confirming the completion of your registration form - if any details are wrong they can amend this for you at the Community Centre..
Step 3 – Buy
- Within 2 weeks of registration, you will receive your Ticketmaster code and link to book your confirmed tickets.
- When you receive this email, follow the link to book and pay for your tickets via Ticketmaster. Please do so as quickly as possible, or your passcode could expire.
- You will receive a confirmation email upon booking (check your junk folder if you cannot find this).
- Pre-festival, this will become a mobile ticket.
- On arrival at the festival, exchange this for a festival wristband at your relevant campsite gate
More Info
Ticket Transfer - If for any reason you are no longer able to attend the festival, you will be able to transfer your tickets to others within the community, via Ticketmaster, closer to the festival. See here for information on how to do this.
Car Parking - passes can be booked via the Wilderness website or at the festival.
Arrival Info - is always available via this page.
If you need general ticket information, please visit our Ticket FAQ page. If your question has still not been answered, please contact us here.
Yes, local day tickets (Friday-Sunday) only can also be purchased at the festival, subject to being a resident within the same qualifying postcodes and presenting both proof of address (matching the postcode OX7 3** or OX29 9**) and photo ID, matching the address. As above, this is within the limit of:
- Max 4 adult tickets per household, max 4 under 18s per adult ticket and max 10 tickets per order
- An adult 18+ must accompany under-18s at all times and, if staying for the weekend, cannot camp separately.
- Existing advance bookings count towards these allocations.
You can head to any of the box offices below during the gate times to purchase these tickets, but you can only access the arena on the day you've booked tickets for.
Box Offices
- The Local Box Office, accessed via the Yellow Gate, North Lodge entrance, OX7 3EH is the dedicated route for accessing the festival on foot from Charlbury. Please note, no vehicles are permitted to use this entrance. This route takes you up the main driveway towards Cornbury House. Upon passing through the North Lodge gate, there is a pedestrian/local box office on your left.
- The South Box Office, accessed via Red Gate, entrance off Witney Road, OX7 3DF or on foot via local footpaths (outlined below) is the best box office if you're driving to the festival or coming on foot from towns/villages to the South of the festival (Finstock, Leafield, etc.), the South Box Office
Will stock run out?
We ringfence an allocation of these tickets specifically for locals, so non-local ticket sales do not affect this! Based on previous numbers, this allocation is sufficient to ensure they won't run out. That said, it's always worthwhile getting down early to secure your ticket if you're purchasing this way, as they are first-come, first-served.
We love that Wilderness is part of such a supportive local community. Each year, we run a Local Bursary programme and provide grants to organisations and community groups that make a positive contribution to the local community in the catchment postcodes OX29 9** and OX7 3**.
Local Bursary Nomination
If you know of a group or organisation that could benefit from this, you can nominate them via the Local Bursary Nomination Form when this is open (typically around September-November)
Please note that each organisation/project only needs to be nominated once to be considered.
Local Busary Voting
Once the nomination form has closed, a Local Bursary Voting Form will be available for those within the postcodes OX29 9** and OX7 3** to vote for the causes they think will have the most beneficial local impact. The top-voted organisations will receive grants proportional to what has been requested and the funds available.
Please note the overall local bursary fund available is proportionately distributed across the towns and villages within the catchment area and then distributed among causes within each of those towns & villages based on the votes received.
Local Bursary Results
This bursary provided grants to 16 local organisations in 2024 and 27 local organisations in 2025.
We host Local Forums throughout the year, both online and in person, to keep residents updated with planning and progress for the year ahead and to give you the chance to provide feedback on these plans and contribute towards our planning process.
Sign up to our mailing list to be the first to hear about when these will happen.
Prior to the festival we will always have:
- 1 local forum online around the end of June/early July to give you the most up-to-date plans for the festival ahead - this is a great chance to give feedback that can be immediately factored into our on-the-ground planning as applicable.
- 1 local forum in person, once the team are on site, building the festival to then further update you with any changes we've made as a result of the previous session and ensure you have all the information needed for the upcoming event.
Gate times and box office information can be found on our Your Arrival page.
Arena opening times can be found on our Your Arrival page.
We have worked hard to improve pedestrian access for residents attending. The map below shows the footpath routes that can be used, and our footpath diversion, in place to keep everyone safe.
If you are coming to Wilderness on foot:
From Charlbury - please use North Lodge/Yellow Gate
There is a dedicated pedestrian box office inside North Lodge gate. This is the only gate that is not used for festival traffic entry and, therefore the safest for pedestrians.
From South of the Site (Leafield, Finstock, Ramsden and Fawler) - please use the footpaths close to Orange and Green Gates
These are:
- Footpath 214/6/10 Green Gate, leading you to the PUDO (Pick Up Drop Off) box office.
- Footpath 214/5/10 and 214/4/10 near Green and Orange Gate. The South Box Office will be the easiest for you.
From North of the Site - please use footpath 175/5/10
You can reach site from footpath 175/5/10 and continue to the 214/4/10 in order to use the South Box Office.
All our staff will be briefed on these routes - please contact us if you have any issues using them.
Pick Up, Drop Off
If you're being dropped off / picked up from the festival please ensure you use the Green Gate, Southill Drive entrance off the B4022, OX7 3EW.
This will bring your straight to our dedicated Pick Up Drop Off area and arena entrance gate.
Parking for the day
If you're planning to drive and park at the festival for the day only, please use the Red Gate entrance off Witney Road, OX7 3DF.
This will bring you to the General Car Park where you can park and enter the festival via our South Entrance. Please note, you will require a General Car Park pass for your vehicle, this can be booked in advance or purchased on the day, card only. You will not be guaranteed the same parking space each day.
Parking for the weekend
If you're planning on driving to the festival and staying with us for the weekend please book the relevant parking pass required based on the campsite you're staying in. Full details can be found on our Your Arrival page.
If you're planning to cycle to the festival you can use any of the entrances and bike park areas below:
Green Gate, Southill Drive, Forest Road, OX7 3EW - bike park area next to the Pick-Up, Drop Off area.
Yellow Gate, North Lodge, Park Street, OX7 3EH - small bike park area just inside North Lodge Gate, on the right of the driveway looking at Cornbury House.
Blue Gate, Cranehill Lodge, OX7 3HL - follow directions for the Blue Car Park where you'll find a bike park area.
Please note, that bike park areas are fencing only that festivalgoers can lock their bikes to. Bikes are left at the owner's risk.
Please ensure you bring the relevant bike safety equipment with you. If you'll be leaving the festival in the evening we recommend you wear bright/reflective clothing as the roads near the festival are winding and, in some locations, minimally lit.
We apply for and implement a number of temporary traffic orders to reduce our traffic impact on local communities. Please see below for the 2025 Notice - we will be repeating this for 2026.
For general enquiries, it's worth browsing our website first, as it should have the information you need. You can use our search function. If your question is still not answered, please contact us here.
For local resident-specific enquiries or feedback, please email residents@wildernessfestival.com.
Before the event, we do a residents' letter drop to those within the OX7 3** and OX29 9** postcodes.
During the event, we operate a Resident's Phoneline. The number for this will be listed in the residents' letter and should also be available through your local council or relevant forums.
If there are other local forums/groups it would be helpful for us to share information with, please send the details of this to residents@wildernessfestival.com.
