Boating
It wouldn't be Wilderness without a rowing boat and a pristine lake. Your best mate (that you may have met 10 minutes ago) sitting opposite you, oar in hand.
Ripples and raucous laughter ricocheting around the valley. This is the ultimate in escapism.
Boating across our beautiful lake is a weekend must-do, free and for everyone to enjoy.
Important Info
- Boating will take place on Lake Superior
- Session times: Friday - Sunday: 09:00 - 18:00
- Monday: Lakes are closed
- All children must be accompanied/supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Terms & Conditions
By entering the boats, you agree and confirm that you have read and understood the Boating Terms & Conditions.
- Anyone who appears to be intoxicated will not be permitted onto the boats.
- You will be refused entry if a member of staff deems you unfit for boating.
- No standing in or leaning out of the boats.
- No food or drink permitted in the boats.
- No racing or bumping other boats.
- Raise your arm if you require help.
- Do not run along the riverbanks.
- No inflatables, paddleboards or own boats in the lakes.
- No detergents to be used in or around the lakes.
- Wilderness reserves the right to suspend any lake activities at any time at their discretion.
- In the event of an emergency, the Lifeguards will blow one long whistle.
- All boats must return to the water entry point and await instruction.
- Avoid the areas of visible reeds and keep at least 2m from the lake edge.
- Wash your hands after any lake activities and before eating, and use antibacterial gel.
- All children must be accompanied/supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
