The Café Cùil Corner
Set time to be announced
with Clare Coghill
Raised on the Isle of Skye, Clare Coghill opened her award-winning cafe, Café Cùil, in London in February 2020. After weeks of trading, she was forced to close due to the COVID pandemic and reopened in Skye in 2022. Spotting a gap in the market on Skye for modern brunch and inspired by her travels across the world, Clare showcases local ingredients in new ways, which have been incredibly popular with locals and visitors alike.
Café Cùil has been a huge success in Skye, winning ‘Hidden Gem’ at The Scotsman Scran Awards 2024, and Clare was Scottish Chef Ambassador at NYC Tartan Week in 2025.
At Wilderness, The Café Cùil Corner will be a unique brunch spot for festivalgoers all weekend, with a menu showcasing the best of Highland produce and curated cocktails to keep the party going. Expect delicious offerings like tattie scone tacos, square sausage, haggis, and fresh Isle of Skye crab.
'Cùil' is Scottish Gaelic for "cosy nook” and you can expect just that with sheepskin rugs, tartan blankets, Gaelic tunes, and a friendly team to make you feel right at home. Join the team at the Cùil Corner for award-winning food and true Highland hospitality.
